Mom Musings Monday

Today I am musing on these thoughts:

• Does anyone else remember when Walmart used to be a place you went to for fun? Cruise around the store. Check out the $5 movie bin. Buy some cheap make up and try it out for fun. It is now my Everest. If I can get out of there with a somewhat happy kid and my sanity, a miracle on par with loaves and fishes has occurred.
• It's amazing how much a motivated mom can get done in approximately 15 minutes (a.k.a. the time her kid can play by himself)
• I would religiously watch a cooking show that showed a mom cooking a legit dinner while simultaneously taking care of their baby. You could call it "Real Life" The mom/star of the show would be rocking a messy bun, no shower, and some sweats. And get grid of those pretty kitchen scenes. I want to see the sink full of dishes and next to no counter space. In fact, show her washing some dishes up before she starts cooking because she has to. I better call Food Network right away. Or maybe Comedy Central.
