Glory to Glory

Tomorrow I am starting a new job at Zachry Construction. It is really a blessing from God. It has enabled me to leave my job at Family Video. Not only that but it’s better pay and set at 40 hours a week. I’m looking back on these past 5 months or so and this is what I have learned from there:

1. People really don’t like late fees. And usually they are very vocal about it to whomever happens to be behind the counter even if that person has nothing to do with it.
2. Just because a company has the word “family” in it’s name doesn’t mean it is very family centered (regardless of what they might advertise).
3. There is a spiritual stronghold in our city of pornography and it is manifested on the father’s of the city. God showed me the reason this is such a big addiction is because of rejection they feel. The Lord has really amped up my intercession for my city with this revelation.
4. At the end of the day, if you are a Christian that is trying really hard to live a holy life and go harder after God than the world - there really aren’t that many movies that really help you do that. 

Rereading this post I realize this all my same really negative. However, it’s really all very positive. This has really done nothing but refined my walk with the Lord and gave me spiritual insights into my city that I otherwise would not know. I want to be clear that I do not harbor any negative feelings toward Family Video or anyone that I worked with. I bless that place and especially everyone that works there. 

So one chapter ends, another begins. I believe that a promise I have in Christ is that I go from glory to glory. So I’m going to go to bed early and rest up so I can gain more spiritual insights into my city and have my walk with the Lord even refined.
